Partnerships in International Medical Education
Globally countless millions of people are without adequate healthcare and often the doctors and nurses training in those countries have given up on the idealism that made them train and take up posts in rural areas. With no ongoing training, poor resources and a sense of isolation, many have given up. Many come to the West for training and never go home.
In developed countries, there is a sense of depersonalisation of healthcare with tick-box systems and the prioritising of targets before compassion. So many people cry out for doctors and nurses who truly care for them.
PRIME is working in a wide variety of countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America and Oceania to improve healthcare education in order to help medical professionals around the world regain the compassion and care that so many of their patients need...
At the current time many of our programmes are delivered online but as the world's health professionals recover from the Covid pandemic and discover their new normal we anticipate that more of our programmes will become active.
As well bespoke training programmes working with partner organisations on the ground PRIME has delivered training programmes at a number of international and world conferences.
