PRIME Profile - Andrew Appleton

MB.ChB., DRCOG, DCH, MRCGP, PGDip.

Andrew was a GP in Bristol for 29yrs but recently retired to Cornwall where he is still doing GP appraisals and locum work. He has a strong interest in training and was the lead tutor for medical students in his practice for 25yrs and a GP trainer for 15yrs. He also has a particular interest in the use of digital technology in health care, and was the Chief Clinical Information Officer for the Bristol area for 5yrs

Andrew has been a PRIME Tutor since 2017, and has been involved in several PRIME trips to Uganda. He is also the convenor of the PRIME Bristol Network Group.
