PRIME Profile - Martin Leiper

BSc, MB ChB, FRCP

Martin is a Communication and Consultation Tutor at the University of Dundee, Medical School, UK and until retiring he was Lead Consultant in Palliative Medicine, in NHS Tayside in Scotland, UK. He is a past Chairman of the Scottish Partnership Agency for Palliative Care and in 2014 received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Hospice UK.  

Martin has been very privileged for the last 20yrs to travel, teach and meet palliative care teams in Australia, Cambodia, Eastern Europe, India, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa.  He has a developing interest in teaching palliative care , communication skills and church based youth work on line. 

Martin has been a PRIME tutor for 15 years and joined the PRIME Management Team in 2021. He is currently Chair of the Tutor Support Group.
