Alistair Appleby has been a General Practitioner for 30 years, working in Nepal, Glasgow and the Scottish Highlands.
Alistair is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Aberdeen and over the last 10 years has researched aspects of spirituality and health, and published in medical journals on subjects including spirituality in primary care, and in medical education. He gained a research based doctorate titled “ General Practitioners Perceptions of Spirituality" in 2019.
He lives in the Scottish Highlands and loves to spend free time mountain biking, climbing and path building. He is married to writer Merryn Glover and has two grown up sons.
