One of the successes of the PRIME Global Conference this year was Louise Younie’s session on Kindness. At the end of this session, the delegates co-wrote a poem with Louise ‘I feel cared for when…’ sharing their experiences of transformative kindness. We are pleased to share this poem with you and hope it will be a blessing and inspiration as you reach out to others in your role today.

We invite you to put your feet up and read Dr Richard Wong’s thoughtful reflections as he explores what it looks like to be ‘one in healthcare’, and what ‘multidisciplinary care’ really means. Dr Wong poses questions such as ‘What is our understanding of how we work together?’ and ‘How realistic is our vision of multidisciplinary care?’

Dr Wong drew his conclusions from a straw poll of different health professionals, which yielded some interesting results.

This month we welcome Rebecca Tory's thoughts on Negative Capability - the ability to sit with doubts and question assumptions.

We invite you to watch a recent interview with PRIME’s Amy Godfrey and Dr Andy Charley our new CEO. Grab a cup of tea and listen to Andy as he shares about his new role, life experience, vision for PRIME and a few things in between. PRIME met together last month for the first time in three years at our Global Conference. The feedback from the conference was excellent and everyone was encouraged, but the most wonderful aspect was God’s presence, which once again brought us together as a family, taking us all by the hand and leading forward into his purposes for our healthcare lives.

On the final morning we concentrated on Spiritual Care and how we can deliver it. During the session we recognised that the understanding of our spiritual dimension and how it impacts our health varied significantly across cultures.

Our final presentation was from Ross and Liz Bryson, concentrating on the needs in UK Primary Care and their work with Chaplaincy. We are grateful to them for this article for PRIME, explaining more about their work.
